Cypher Adikts is not just a jam it’s a movement born out of a necessity in today’s community to bring balance in our culture. Away from the competitions and music interruption this jam is all about keeping it raw and representing to the fullest. There’s not much more to say, the name speaks for itself CYPHER ADIKTS:  you don’t come to watch, you come to catch wreck!

Born and raised in Paris, French Algerian Bgirl Jeskilz
found Hip Hop at the age of 15 but it wasn’t until she moved to NYC right after high school graduation in 2001 that she discovered her love for breaking.
It all began at “The Point” a community center located in the Bronx where she became great friends with Mach3 of SkillMethodz Crew who started teaching her everything he knew. No other form of dance had reached her in this way and she was determined to fully commit in order to earn her respect within the scene.

In 2004 Jeskilz met Alien Ness who inspired her as well and introduced her to Crazy Legs of the Rock Steady Crew. Soon after she was asked to be down. For the next couple of years she represented to the fullest battling every chances she got and established herself as one of the best bgirl in the game.

She packed again and moved to Los Angeles in 2008 hoping to find success in the dance industry. She quickly landed major roles in movies and commercial but never found herself content the way she did within the Hip Hop community so in 2011 she decided to give birth to an idea that had been in her mind for years called CYPHER ADIKTS, a jam that would bring back the essence of the dance stepping away from competitions and all kind of set up rules. Cypher Adikts not only represented the ideal concept to her it also embraced a mentality she had always related to from the start.

The cyphers are the birth place of Hip Hop and this is what she along with everyone else involved promotes with the intention of carrying on tradition.Jeskilz’ main mission now is to give back to the community, through Cypher Adikts she hopes to inspire and educate the youth into experiencing what our culture is truly all about.

Ervin Arana

Ervin Arana’s journey into the world of music started off pretty simple. A summer party in the backyard of his Long Beach duplex. Struck by the vibe of the party, Ervin decided then, he wanted to share his own love of music with people. Armed with a handful of records, one turntable and a stereo, he began practicing his craft by blending his selections with whatever was playing on the radio. But it was his time as a resident DJ at Homeland Cultural Art Center where he truly began mastering his craft.

A consummate crate digger, Ervin’s forte lays in bringing a more mature musical palate to listeners. During the last few years, Ervin’s resume has grown to include gigs in London, Moscow, Mexico City and parties spinning along side Slick Rick, KRS One, Z-Trip and Rich Medina. He’s also a proud member of LA’s legendary Root Down Sound System.

In addition to his DJ background, Ervin’s also a well respected veteran bboy. So naturally he has the unique ability to provide the perfect mood for true bboy culture to thrive. His style of DJaying fits perfectly the “Cypher Adikts” mentality, an event/movement that has recently created a buzz throughout the world. Catch him at his next gig and he’s guaranteed to make you MOVE. For more info check out ervinarana
